In a recent
editorial comment in American Shipper, Eric
Johnson noted how a great freight payment process will eliminate pricing errors
over time instead of perpetuating them to justify the existence of the freight payment
company. So, audit savings should not be the only element of ROI for a freight
payment outsourcing project. Johnson says, “Be mindful that it’s a great goal
to catch more errors (or better yet, eradicate the errors in the presentation phase
altogether) but don’t fixate on that as the only ROI metric in freight payment
and audit.”
We couldn't
have said it better ourselves.
